Arthritis Foundation of South Africa exists to achieve a better life for all those affected with arthritis.
We enable those with arthritis to live a valuable life in all its dimensions through increasing awareness, providing education and offering support.
Services we provide
The Arthritis Foundation of South Africa is the only body in our country providing non-medical support for arthritis patients, their families and carers. To do this we are involved in a wide range of education and support programmes, in providing access to information about these diseases, and by advocating the interests of people with arthritis in government, medical and media circles.
The National Office is in Cape Town and supports regional centres in Gauteng, Eastern Cape and Bloemfontein.
We run a range of educational programmes with experts and leaders in the arthritis community.
Our support and development programmes focus on improving daily life and long-term health.
We are a leading source of information about treatment, management and care for the different types of arthritis and rheumatism.
We promote public awareness about arthritis, and advocate for policies and healthcare practices that put the patient first.
